Neurotraining in tennis
Gavendová, Karolína ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Neuro-athletic training in tennis Objectives: The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and its aim is to inform about neuro-athletic training and the possibilities of including this training in the tennis preparation of players of different age categories. At the same time, the theoretical part also provides a basic overview of the central nervous system and sensory systems on which neuro-athletic training is built. The goal of the second part is to create a stack of exercises that neuro-athletic training uses for tennis players of different age categories. The set of exercises will be divided into four sections - evaluation of training results, general exercises for visual, vestibular and proprioceptive training, neuro-athletic exercises for speed development, neuro-athletic exercises for strength development. Methods: In the theoretical part, we analyzed literature, internet resources and videos dealing with the topic of neuro-athletic training. Based on the analysis, we synthesized the individual findings in order to create a clear information base on the physiological aspects of tennis, the central nervous system and sensory senses, neuro-athletic training. Based on this information, we selected suitable neuro- athletic exercises and created a stack of...

Ďurčo, Dominik ; Carboch, Jan (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Title: Visual constrains and feedback in the badminton serve Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to investigate the effect of short serve feedback constraints in badminton players. Methods: The data were experimentally collected. Twelve players underwent measurement of backhand serve. Every player performed four series of 20 serves. First and fourth were played with occlusion, second and third in normal conditions. Their results were recorded on a video camera and then evaluated by indirect analysis. Results: Overall, the players recorded an average distance of the shuttlecock impact point from the service line in the occluded conditions of 40,7±22,2 cm in the normal conditions of 25,2±17,9 cm. These results showed a significant effect of occlusion on short backhand serve t(9)=4,98, p<0,001 and with a strong effect of d=1,44. Out of 960 total backhand serves, 63 were ruled out. Players played 11 outs in occluded conditions, 52 in normal conditions. Keywords: visual perception, occluded vision, motor skills, proprioception, game performance

3D printing is a widely recognized and well established technique that enables the fabrication of complex structures with low production cost and easy scalability. In this study was conducted a comprehensive review of the applications of 3D printing in various industries in the Czech Republic. The first part of the research provides a summary of the different 3D printing techniques available, along with a comparison of relevant printing parameters and acquisition costs. The next part continues with description of the practical applications of the explained 3D printing methods in the Czech Republic industires. Namely, the applications in construction, automotive, education, and healthcare industries are discussed in more detail. The latter one is then brought into focus in the practical part of this work, where a medical aid is fabricated. Specifically the Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) and Stereolithography (SLA) printing methods are used to fabricate a balance plates for lower limb proprioception training as a cost- effective alternative to commercially available product. Through a comparison of physical measurements, was found that the FFF method yielded more precise printouts. This research highlights the potential of 3D printing in delivering tailored medical aids, offering a promising avenue for future development.
Comparison of balance aid methods and the neurocentric approach in restoring stability after ankle joint distortion in gymnastic aerobics.
Seidlová, Lucie ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Mahrová, Andrea (referee)
Author: Lucie Seidlová Title of the bachelor's thesis: Comparison of methods using balance boards and neurocentric approach in restoring stability after ankle distortion in aerobic gymnastics Supervisor: Mgr. Markéta Křivánková Year of the presentation: 2023 Objectives: To compare the results of available studies using balance boards and neurocentric approach in restoring stability and to explain their principles. Methods: Search of Czech and foreign literature using the FTVS library, PubMed, Google Scholar and ScienceDirect. The practical part uses a method of comparison. Results: The effectiveness of balance boards in restoring stability after ankle distortion has been demonstrated in several studies. On the other hand, its influence is questioned by two of the selected studies which did not show any positive results from using balance boards on stability. Some of the results have been evaluated by questionnaires or stability measurements on an unstable surface, so it is not possible to determine exactly whether the use of balance aids improves stability on a stable surface and is therefore appropriate when returning to sport. The research looking at the neurocentric approach has predominantly been conducted on probands with CNS disorder or injury, so it is not proven exactly what results would...

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Anna Šályová Supervisor: Ing. Bc. Marie Plecháčová Consultant: Ing. Kristýna Plevová Title: Physiotherapy intervention in patients with neck pain Subtitle: Sensorimotor stimulation and cervical spine stabilization exercises Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with physiotherapy in patients with cervical pain. This problem is quite common nowadays, it ranks as the fourth most common health problem overall. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the cervical spine, the description and classification of pain in this area and the treatment procedure with a focus on physiotherapy. Furthermore, the concepts of stability and posture are explained. An important part of the thesis is the description of the chosen methods and their use in various studies. In the empirical part, it was necessary to describe the methodological procedures, especially the chosen tests, on the basis of which I evaluated the results of the therapies: the NRS, the NDI, the muscle strength of neck flexion, the Postural Stability Assessment, tests for postural stability (trunk flexion test, diaphragmatic test). Selected exercises used in the therapies were also described. I worked with a total of four patients who were randomly divided into two groups, with each group...
Sensory integration approach in paediatrics
Kordíková, Eliška ; Hyttichová, Zdenka (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
The thesis describes the approach of sensory integration of Jean Ayres, summarizes a basic neuroanatomy knowledge related to this approach and deals with sensory processing disorder, their diagnosis and therapy. There is a case study in the thesis containing an examination, assessment and the suggestion of therapy according to the approach of sensory integration theory. The sensory processing disorders are functional disorders of perception, filtering and organizing of stimulus coming from sensory systems. On this basis the sensory modulation processing and sensory discrimination disorder in different sensory system occur or sensory - based motor disorder can occur too. Sensory processing disorders may occur simultaneously with another diagnosis, for example the Down syndrom, syndrom ADHD. We create diagnosis from history, clinical observation and tests and from standardized tests. The therapy uses a number of different tools and special equipped rooms to provide adequate sensory stimulation, especially for vestibular, touch and proprioception. The approach of sensory integration is a part of integrated look at an individual and his problems and it is a part of the whole rehabilitation too.

Bibliografic identification BESTOVÁ, Zuzana. The effect of The Feldenkrais method on body schema. Prague: Charles University in Prague, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of rehabilitation and exercise medicine, 2012. 96 pages. Supervisor Mgr. Magdaléna Lepšíková. Abstract The diploma thesis deals with neurophysiological concept of body schema and evaluation of the effect of the Feldenkrais method (FM) on its quality. The research comprises two groups of probands without motor system disorders. The participants passed an investigation of the body schema quality by the following tests: a test of estimation of body dimensions (width of mouth, width of shoulders, width of hips and length of foot), a modification of Petrie's test, a test of proprioception and a test of graphestesia. The examination was accomplished before FM investigation and after the course. The first group (group A) comprised 13 individuals (5 males, 8 females) who participated in a semestral course of FM, the second group of probands (group B) included 17 individuals (3 males, 14 females) underwent a two days long FM program. A significant improvement (p = 0,0027) in the estimation of the length of foot was detected after FM intervention in group B. There was not a significant improvement in any of estimated body dimensions in group A....
